Layer 1: Options

  • Definition: Overabundance of choices can create mental clutter, leaving you overwhelmed and unable to act.
  • Objective: Identify and limit options to those aligned with your current priorities.
  • Instructions:
    • List Your Options: Write down all the options or opportunities you’re currently considering.
    • Score Each Option (1-5): Rate each based on alignment with your values and priorities (1 = low alignment, 5 = high alignment).
    • Narrow Down: Choose the top 3 options with the highest scores. Focus on these for the next few weeks.
  • Reflection Prompt: What am I hoping to gain by choosing this option? Will this choice add to my well-being, or is it a distraction?
